PNC Arena

Home to North Carolina State University’s Wolfpack men’s basketball and the Carolina Hurricanes hockey franchise, the arena hosts over 400 events each year, including major sporting events, music concerts, business conferences, and more.

 

The Arena employs an average of 750 people on a given event day (more for sold-out events/less for smaller shows)and pays more than $3.5 million in combined payment in lieu of property taxes (PILOT) annually to the City of Raleigh and Wake County ($43.5 million total since 2000) – the only public facility in North Carolina that does so.

 

The PNC Arena also hosts other community events such as the North Carolina Dental Society’s “North Carolina Missions of Mercy” free clinic, Triangle Heart Walk, the MS Walk, and is the parking/shuttle area for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
